Submit a Presentation Proposal

The National Extension Technology Community is hosting a virtual conference using Zoom meeting, and we’re inviting you to present!

Like many other live gatherings scheduled this year, the 2020 NETC Conference in Washington State was postponed and rescheduled for 2021, out of concern for our members’ safety due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But we know you still have knowledge and experience to share with our community so we’re hosting our conference virtually June 15-17.

NETC is looking for a wide array of topics that are innovative, engaging, inspiring, and informative for Extension technology professionals. Through this virtual conference we hope to offer relevant, timely education and training to help you do your job more effectively and make your department more successful. We are interested in hearing post-project experiences and best practices; your first-hand perspective will provide insight. Proposals should address strategies and solutions to the unique issues our universities face.

Length of presentations
Presentations should be approximately 45 minutes.

Some current topic ideas are:

  • Leadership and IT management
  • Accessibility and inclusion
  • Hardware and software innovations and challenges
  • Innovation in Extension IT
  • Web design, social media, and effective communication for technology professionals

But these are just a few topics – don’t let us constrain your creativity!

Review process
Proposals are evaluated by a blind review of 3-7 Extension technology professionals. Information provided is the only basis for the reviewers to evaluate each proposal.

Proposal submissions
You’re welcome to submit multiple proposals for review. The final selection will be based on professional development needs of conference attendees. The deadline to submit your proposal is Friday, May 29.
