Amy Cole – Graduation from UADA iLEAD
Digital Media Program Manager, University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service
In 2021 Amy Cole applied and was accepted to the UADA Internal Leadership Education and Development Program – iLEAD – Cohort I class. The iLEAD program provides leadership development through training, hands-on experiences, and personal reflection to expand leadership capacity within the Division of Agriculture. Amy’s iLEAD project was to create a volunteer website to provide a centralized location for resources, training, or content for this important group of Arkansans. Volunteers are potential ambassadors that can spread the word of Extension and our mission and be a grass-roots effort to engage new stakeholders. Engaging volunteers to be brand ambassadors would further our reach in hard to connect with communities statewide. The website will serve two audiences: 1. Volunteers (current and potential) a. Master Gardener b. EHC c. 4-H volunteers 2. Employees (agents and specialists who manage volunteer groups) And will provide: • Training opportunities for digital media, social media, communications, or other skills needed by our volunteer ambassadors • Support service resources and links for employees to better understand their role with volunteers and how they can support each group Amy graduated from iLEAD on June 17, 2022. We are proud of Amy and her accomplishments.
