The National Extension Technology Community is a 501(c)(3) professional organization that provides an organized forum for extension IT professionals who are actively engaged in, or have a strong commitment to, leveraging information technology in the Cooperative Extension System.

By promoting the importance of the IT profession within the Land-Grant and Extension system, the Community improves communication and collaboration by discussing issues, needs and opportunities among IT professionals, managers and the clients they serve. To advance the professional status of the Extension IT profession, the Community encourages continuous self-improvement among members by providing learning opportunities, trainings, and certifications throughout the year.

The Community provides its memberships with a number of year-round continuing opportunities including, but not limited to:
