
Robin Ertz
Robin has been active with NETC for 22 years, presenting at 22 conferences on various topics, including web conferencing platforms, adult learning, and digital accessibility. In total, she has given 30 presentations during NETC conferences.
Robin’s contributions have had lasting impacts on the NETC community:
- In 2005, she co-founded the NETC Awards program and emceed it again in 2012. The program now recognizes excellence and innovation in teams and individuals.
- She created and implemented the First Time Attendee/New Member Orientation, debuting at Penn State in 2024, which welcomed over 40 new members and included 11 board members.
- In 2022, Robin proposed the NETC Recognition Program to celebrate milestones in members’ personal and professional lives. To date, 17 recognitions have been shared.
- Robin led the creation of the NETC Hall of Fame, approved by the board in 2022, with the first honorees inducted in 2023. Thirteen members have been honored.
From August 2021 to July 2024, Robin served on the NETC board as VP-Elect, Vice President, and President. She initiated Plans of Work for each board member, improving project tracking and efficiency.
Robin’s commitment extends to conferences, where she has served as room moderator, led discussions on digital accessibility, and participated in planning and hosting. Notably, she was on the conference committee for the 2009 NETC conference hosted by Iowa State.
