Lauren Colby Nickels – Ph.D. in Agricultural Science and Extension Education

DR. Lauren Colby Nickels completed her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Extension Education from Mississippi State University’s School of Human Sciences in May 2024. Her dissertation focused on MSU Extension’s TummySafe online course and how learners’ engagement and demographics might affect exam performance. Dr. Nickels previously worked for the MSU Extension Center for Technology Outreach assisting small businesses and organizations with web, social media, and other technology needs as an Extension Instructor. She recently moved into a new role as an Extension Specialist with the MSU Extension Center for Government and Community Development assisting with digital outreach and tax collector programs.
