Dear NETC Awards Committee,
I am writing to enthusiastically nominate Dr. Vergot for the prestigious NETC Hall of Fame Award in recognition of his many years of outstanding service to the organization.
Dr. Vergot is one of the NETC funding members (https://netctech.org/founding-members/). As a long-time member of NETC, Dr. Vergot has attended countless NETC conferences. He has organized and chaired past NETC conferences. In addition, he has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing the mission and goals of the organization. He has played an instrumental role in leading various committees and initiatives.
Dr. Vergot joined the University of Florida Extension in 1997 as a district extension director and is currently a professor in AEC. As an Extension District Director, Dr. Vergot served leadership position for technology adoption at the University of Florida (UF)/IFAS, and led successful application projects in UF/IFAS Extension. He is a big promoter of NETC’s mission and activities. Over the years, Dr. Vergot has generously shared his time, expertise, and resources to support the development and growth of NETC.
I firmly believe that Dr. Vergot is an outstanding candidate for the NETC Hall of Fame Award for all these reasons and more. I urge the Awards Committee to seriously consider his nomination and recognize his many years of exceptional service to the organization.
