John Hartley – 25-Year Work Anniversary

Recently, while he was attending the NETC Conference in Tempe, AZ, Auburn University held their annual Employee Recognition Program where John Hartley was recognized for having worked for Auburn University and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System for the past 25 years, as of September of last year. John has been a member of the ACES-Ag IT Department since 1997. He served as ACES Webmaster for over 20 years and, for the last 5-6 years, has been building online courses for distance education while serving as the ACES Canvas/Catalog (LMS) Admin.

John holds a BFA in Graphic Design, MEd in Adult Education, Graduate Certificate in Extension Education, EdS in Adult Education, and is finishing a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Technology for Distance Education. He also served as the Auburn Adobe User Group Manager for over 15 years, currently serves as Vice President of the AU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi academic honor society since 2016, and is serving his 3rd elected term as the Southern Regional Representative to the NETC Board. John has attended, and often presented, at 22 NETC conferences since 1998, as well as having helped host the NETC conference at Auburn University in 2010.
